Youngest of these 4 children, son Charles Olin Raynes lived some with his uncle Dr. John Raynes (note by J.F.G.)
Flora and Rex Downing are buried in the Thompson lot in Presque Isle, ME

Flora Etta Raynes married Rexter Downing.2 Flora Etta Raynes was born on 26 March 1891 in Chapman, Maine.1,2 She was the daughter of James Ames Raynes and Emma Wilson Hill.1 Flora Etta Raynes died in November 1958 in Bangor, Maine, at age 67.1,2
Flora's mother died one month after her birth. Arrangements were made for neighbors Mr. & Mrs. George Thompson to take care of the baby (adopt?) and father James took the other 4 children from Chapman ME to Lebanon NH where his twin brother, John Raynes, was a Doctor. Youngest of these 4 children, son Charles Olin Raynes lived some with his uncle Dr. John Raynes (note by J.F.G.).2
Flora's mother died one month after her birth. Arrangements were made for neighbors Mr. & Mrs. George Thompson to take care of the baby (adopt?) and father James took the other 4 children from Chapman ME to Lebanon NH where his twin brother, John Raynes, was a Doctor. Youngest of these 4 children, son Charles Olin Raynes lived some with his uncle Dr. John Raynes (note by J.F.G.).2

Solomon Raynes was born in 1776 in New Gloucester, Maine.1,2 He was the son of Joseph Raynes and Eunice Babson.1 Solomon Raynes married Nancy Sweat, daughter of Joseph Sweat, on 17 November 1798.2 Solomon Raynes was buried circa 1805 in Otisfield Gore Cemetery.2 He died circa 1805.1
