Harclerode, a highly respected resident of Mount Union died in his home, the Shapiro Apartments, Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock after an illness that confined him to bed but two days. He had not been well for some time but his death came suddenly as a great shock to his family and friends.

Paul R. Harclerode was born in Everett, Bedford County, Pa., February 8, 1901, thus at the time of his death he was aged 38 years, 10 months, and 26 days.

He was the son of Shannon and Estella Showalter Harclerode and was but 2 years of age when the family moved to Mount Union. Much of his life was spent here. He attended the public schools and later was employed in the North American Refractories plant where he was a faithful employee for 17 years.

Mr. Harclerode was a member of the Spring Grove United Brethren Church for some years. He was a good citizen, a kind and devoted husband and father and his death at his early age is very sad. He will be greatly missed in his home."6,1 He died in 1941 in Mount Union, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.7 He was buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Mapleton, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.7,6
