I checked my copy of Mary Magdalene Whistleman's obit and found that
she died 02 Feb 1966 at 3:30 a.m. at her home, following an illness of
three months. She had been seriously ill for three days before her passing.
She was the widow of George William Botkin, they were married in 1884
and had 11 children, the youngest being my grandfather. I have the info on
their other children, too, if needed. I think I sent the Botkin info
to you at one time, didn't I?....getting old, memory doesn't always work the
way it once did!!

William C. "Buddy" Wilfong, 81, of Harrisonburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.
Mr. Wilfong was born May 25, 1925, in Dayton, and was a son of the late John Clifton and Elizabeth Simmons Wilfong.
He owned and operated Wilfong Contractors and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Harrisonburg.
On Jan. 3, 1944, he married Ethel B. Knight, who survives.
He is also survived by a brother, David Wilfong of Harrisonburg; a sister, Elsie Shull of Mount Solon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pastors Jeff Ferguson and Karl Slye will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
