Black.¹ Thornton Haymond Wilfong married Ida Mae Westfall, daughter of Lafayette Westfall and Priscilla Elizabeth "Lizzy" Miles, on 12 June 1910 in Upshur, West Virginia.^10,11 Thornton Haymond Wilfong died on 12 August 1960 in Upshur, West Virginia, at age 76.^12,13 He was buried after 12 August 1960 in Mount Washington Cemetery, Washington District, Upshur, West Virginia.^12,13,14

Adam Teets (Teats or Deats) was born circa 1708.¹ He married (?) Unknown before 1729.² Adam Teets (Teats or Deats) married Catherine Schonenberg on 21 April 1729.^1,3,4 Adam Teets (Teats or Deats) married Mary (?) in November 1747 in New York.¹ Adam Teets (Teats or Deats) died circa 1769.¹
In the" History of the Teets Family", p. 1, George J. Teets states that Mary's last name was Kirkbride. The "Early Germans of New Jersey", Theodore F. Chambers states that Adam purchased land from a Mary Kirkbride, and states that Adam may have had a second wife Mary, who was named in his will along with his eleven children.

The author of this work (John J. Teets II) speculates that the mother of the eleven children was "Mary", and it is so recorded.⁵ Adam Teets (Teats or Deats) was also known as Deitz, Ditz, Deates, Deats, and Teats.⁶
In "Early Germans of New Jersey", under Deats or Teats (p. 322), it states:

"There are three of this family who might be brothers, Adam, Christian and Jacobus. The name is spelled Dietz, Ditz, Deates, Deats, and Teats."⁶ Records of the Dutch Reformed Church of New York show Adam Teets, a widower from Germany, with Catherine Schoenenberg maiden from Germany, dwelling in New York. "Deats or Teats" is the way the name is spelled in the book.^7,4 According to the "History of the Teets Family 1708-1983" (and updated to April 1, 1987), Adam had eleven children, of which Jacobus was the 2nd son.^1,8 Adam was an Elder of the High Dutch Calvanistical Church of Amwell at Ringoes in 1747.^1,9 He bought 208 acres in Amwell Township of Mary Kirkbride on November 26, 1747. He was naturalized by act of council, 1744.^1,9 His will of February 20, 1769, probated March 25, names wife, Mary and eleven children.¹
