Community service became his focus following retirement. A 2009 winner of the Janet Clemmons/S.E.L.F. Community Service Award from Butler County's community action agency, Bill volunteered at Hamilton Living Water Ministry, Inc in various capacities from 2002-2009, and he actively provided congregational care for many years at Cincinnati's Westwood United Methodist Church in its Stephen Ministry, Lay Pastor Program and other missions. Visitation Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the Bolton & Lunsford Funeral Home, 3042 Harrison Ave., Westwood and Wednesday from 9-10 AM at the Westwood United Methodist Church, 3460 Epworth Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45211 where services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Memorials may be directed to Westwood United Methodist Church, Hamilton Living Water Ministry, Inc., 510 South 8th Street, Hamilton, OH 45011 or to any animal welfare organization of your choice.
