Born in Marshall County in 1883, he was the son of Perry E and Arlens Booth Richmond. He was a former lock tender at Dam No 13 and retired in 1948. He was a former resident of McMechen and for the past eight years had resided in Moundsville. He was a member of the First Church of God, McMechen. Surviving are a sister, Mrs William Foose, of Moundsville; two brothers, Aliance Richmond of Carnegie, PA and Archie Richmond of Moundsville. Friends may call at Riggs Funeral home, Moundsville, where services will be held Monday at 2 pm in charge of Dr Eakin of McMechen First Church of God, Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.

Reference Number: cn 43972. - [S2758] Obit: Archie B. Richmond, ARCHIE B RICHMOND, 78, a resident of Big Grave Creek, died early this morning at his residence.
He was born September 3, 1892 in Marshall County, the son of the late Perry and Arlena Booth Richmond. He was a Protestant by faith and a retired employee of the State Road. His wife, Austie Gorby Richmond, preceeded him in death in 1952. Two sons, Earl D and Aldridge, also preceded him in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Opal Richmond of Moundsville; three sons, Raymond of RD 2, Moundsville, Cecil and Harold, both of Moundsville; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at the Kirby Funeral Home, 118 Grant avenue, Moundsville, this Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
