    David Dee "Pete" Stansberry Sr., 67, of Keyser, died Saturday, November 29, 2003, at his residence.

    He was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Morgantown, a son of the late Howard D. and Margaret Virginia (Summers) Stansberry.

    Mr. Stansberry was retired from Anchor Glass in Keyser with 23 years of service. He was also the owner and operator and delivery man, along with his wife, of Fran's Restaurant in Keyser for eight years, until his illness forced him to discontinue the business. He was Protestant by faith, a member of the National Rifle Association and an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.

    Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Frances F. (Baker) Stansberry; two sons, David Dee Stansberry Jr., of Inwood, and Brian Keith Stansberry Sr. and wife, Kelly, of Keyser; four brothers, Howard Philip Stansberry, Jerry Lee Stansberry Sr., James Thomas Stansberry and Robert Gene Stansberry, all of Morgantown; and six grandchildren, Briana Stansberry, April Stansberry, David Stansberry III, Kelly N. "Nici" Stansberry, Brian Stansberry Jr. and Mysti Stansberry. Also surviving are a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Willie and Edna Swisher, of McCoole, Md.

    Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, Dec. 1 from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, from 1-3 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Homer Beeman officiating.
