     Helen Miller married Samuel Raymond Teets, son of Martin Luther Teets and Nancy Ann "Nannie" Freeland. Helen Miller was born on 17 December 1903.1 She was the daughter of Jacob Miller and Cora Thompson.1 Helen Miller died on 15 February 1995 in Smithfield, Pennsylvania, at age 91.1 She was buried on 18 February 1995.1

  1. [S881] Obit: Helen Miller Teets, Helen M. [Miller] Teets, 91 of Smithfield R.D. 3, died Wednesday, Feb 15, 1995, at the home of her daughter Wilma David. She was born Dec 17, 1903, daughter of the late Jacob and Cora Thompson Miller; and the wife of Samuel Raymond Teets.
    Surviving are three children, Wilma David and Raymont Teets of Smithfield, PA, and Thomas Teets of Kingwood, WV; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.
    In addition to her parents and her husband, Samuel Raymont Teets, who died in 1973, she was predeceased by an infant son, Charles; a son-in-law, Clifford David, Sr., who died in 1981, and a grandson, Clifford David, Jr., who died in 1990; sisters Molly and Grace Miller, Emogene Bittinger and Bertha Grimm; and brothers Charles Albert Miller and Herman Miller.
    Mrs. Teets was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Fairchance and the York Run Grange; a member of the B.L.W. Sunday School Class and the Ladies Missionary Society of the church.
    Before her retirement, she was employed for several years as the Food Consultant for the Thrift Drug Company in Uniontown. Mrs. Teets also loved to bake and cook for her family and many friends. Her special Easter dinner menu and recipes were once featured in the Morning Herald and Evening Standard newspapers.
    The Family will received friends in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church St., Fairchance on Friday, Feb 17, 1995 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM., and Saturday, Feb 18, 1995 in the First Baptist Church of Fairchance from 10 to 11AM, the hour of service, with the Rev. William Roberts and Joseph Douthitt officiating. Interment in LaFayette Memorial Park.
