    Sherman Junior Wilfong, 69, a resident of Tallmansville, died at 8:38PM Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006 at his home. He was born June 22, 1937, a son of the late Sherman Wilfong and Kate Strader Wilfong. On July 21, 1984 he was married to Inez J. Riggs McCourt Wilfong, who survives in Tallmansville. Also surviving are one daughter, Sandra (Wilfong) Small of Buckhannon; two stepsons, Joseph McCourt of Tallmansville and Samuel McCourt of Buckhannon; and two stepdaughters, Debra Osburn and Patricia Wamsley, both of Tallmansville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant child. He was a mechanic for Basin Survey and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a member of Frank B. Bartlett Post 7 American Legion, Buckhannon Veterans of Foreigh Wars Post 3663, BPOE Lodge 1736 and Upshur County Farm Bureau. Friends will be received from 2-4PM and from 6-8PM Sunday at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10AM Monday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home with Karen Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park at Buckhannon where Frank B. Bartlett Post 7 American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars 3663 and Disabled American Veterans Chapters 5 and 36 will conduct military honors.     Herbert Junior Wilfong, 77, of 903 Jackson's Mill Road, Weston, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at noon, at Louis A. Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Clarksburg, following a short illness. He was born June 5, 1926, in Weston, a son of the late Herbert and Ressie (Harris) Wilfong. Surviving are one brother, Henry Wilfong of Weston, and special friends and caregivers, Homer and Evelyn Hefner of Jane Lew. He was also preceded in death by one brother, George Wilfong. Mr. Wilfong was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he was combat-wounded. He enjoyed gardening and watching television. He was a Methodist. A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at Boyle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chad Belt officiating. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
