    An enterprising young merchant of Pharisburg, Union county, Ohio,
    is Wayne Teets, whose whole life has been spent within this county. After
    graduating from the local school he started in as a clerk in a store in Pharis-
    burg, and since 1907 has been in the general merchandise business for him-
    self. He is an industrious and energetic business man, and has built up a
    large and lucratie trade throughout this section of the county.

    Wavne Teets, the sun of David and Sarah (Henry) Teets, was born
    in Leesburg township, Union county, Ohio, September 22, 1882. His fa-
    ther was Ijorn in Logan county, and his mother in Champaign county, Ohio,
    their marriage occurring in the latter county. Some years after their mar-
    riage David Teets and wife located in Union county, where he operated a
    cooperage plant in Pharisburg until his death, about 1884. His widow still
    resides in Pharisburg. Eight children were born to David Teets and wife,
    all of whom are still living: Flora, the wife of J. L. Thompson, of Lees-
    burg township; Effie, the wife of G. B. Romine, of Leesburg township;
    Warren, a farmer living in Taylor township; Ordel, of Leesburg township;
    Wilber, a resident of flalion, Ohio; Walter, of Leesburg township; Wayne,

    WAYNE TEETS.

    An enterprising young merchant of Pharisburg, Union county, Ohio,
    is Wayne Teets, whose whole life has been spent within this county. After
    graduating from the local school he started in as a clerk in a store in Pharis-
    burg, and since 1907 has been in the general merchandise business for him-
    self. He is an industrious and energetic business man, and has built up a
    large and lucratie trade throughout this section of the county.

    Wavne Teets, the sun of David and Sarah (Henry) Teets, was born
    in Leesburg township, Union county, Ohio, September 22, 1882. His fa-
    ther was Ijorn in Logan county, and his mother in Champaign county, Ohio,
    their marriage occurring in the latter county. Some years after their mar-
    riage David Teets and wife located in Union county, where he operated a
    cooperage plant in Pharisburg until his death, about 1884. His widow still
    resides in Pharisburg. Eight children were born to David Teets and wife,
    all of whom are still living: Flora, the wife of J. L. Thompson, of Lees-
    burg township; Effie, the wife of G. B. Romine, of Leesburg township;
    Warren, a farmer living in Taylor township; Ordel, of Leesburg township;
    Wilber, a resident of flalion, Ohio; Walter, of Leesburg township; Wayne,
    of Pharisburg, and Estella. the wife of J. C Gaston, of Richwood.

    Wayne Teets received his echication in the schools of Pharishurg', and after attenthng tlie liigh school, clerked in the store of Hutchen Brothers, of Pharisburg, for three years. In 1907 he engaged in business for himself in Pharisburg and now contlucts a general merchandise establishment, with a constantly increasing business. His store is well stocked with such goods as are usually found in general stores in towns of this size, and he is con- stantly adding to his stock of goods in order to meet the demands of his trade. Mr. Teets was married March 24. 1911, to Loverna Hall, a daughter of J. H. and Clara (Maple) Hall. Her parents came from Coshocton, Ohio, to Union county, and a few years later located in Trumbull county, where they are now living. ]Mr. Teets and his wife have one son, Leo Donald, who was born Februarv 24, 1912. Politically. Mr. Teets is a Republican, but has never been active in the councils of his ])arty. His wife is a member of the Methodist Protestant church, of Pharisburg. He holds his membership in the Knights of Pythias at the same place. Mr. l>ets is still a young man and at the threshold of life, and the success which has already attended his ettorts indicates that he has a long and prosperous career before him.

(Teets) Scott, daughter of Ordell and Blanche (Green) Teets who was the son of David and Sarah Jane (Henry) Teets. We haven't really spread out too much from this area in the past 100 or so years.

    I'd like to thank you for the EXTENSIVE work you have done on the family tree.

    Your site indicates that David was the son of Jacob Teets and Magaret McMillan. Do we know who Jacob's parents were and where they came from? This is where my research comes to an end. Although, I must admit I just started this and am not very good at it.

    On a side note, do you know how David Teets died? It was quite the scandel in my family and my grandmother wouldn't talk much about it. I only recently discovered it because I now have access to our local paper's online archives. It was covered throughly by the press back then.

    Mrs. Nellie W. Teets, 83, of Parkwood Rd, Lakewood, died Thursday at her residence.
    The daughter of Nelson P. and Amelia Henderson Thompson, she was born April 20, 1876 in Dover Township. She was twice married, her first husband was George Westlake and her second husband was Warren Teets. Both are deceased.
    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Studer, of Lakewood, and Mrs. Frances Ehninger, of North Olmstead; three sons, Samuel Westlake, of Marysville, Rt. 1, Carroll Westlake, of Bay Village, and Kenneth A. Teets, of Lake; two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Moore, of Marysville, and Mrs. Pearl Norris, Of Marysville, Rt. 3; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. One daughter is deceased.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Faulkner funeral home. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery.

    GRAND JURY INDICTS HIM FOR ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO KILL HIS WIFE AND STEP-DAUGHTER Two indictments for assault with intent to kill, one upon his wife, Mrs. Nellie T. Teets, and her daughter, Miss Pauline Westlake, aged fifteen years, were returned Monday evening against Warren Teets a farmer of Taylor township. The defendant is now in the county jail unable to give a bond of $4,000. Teets if found guilty on either charge will be given a term in the Ohio penitentiary. Teets, it is claimed, has been drinking heavy of late and for some time has been jealous of his wife. A week ago when Teets returned to his home from Marysville he began an assault upon his fie, threatening to shoot her with a revolver and kill her four children. He was arrested and at his hearing before Magistrate S. L. Church waived examination and was held to the grand jury under a $4000 bond which he could not furnish and has since been confined in the county jail. Teets possesses a mean, irritable disposition which has been greatly aggraved by excessive use of alcohol. He claims that he knows nothing about the assault upon his wife and her daughter, and believes that he was over come by the heat. He has been acting rather queer since his incarceration in the county jail. Physicials, however, believe that he is a sane man. Teets married Mrs. Nellie Westlake last December. Her former husband was George Westlake, deceased, a son of Samuel Westlake, residing north of town."

    WAYNE TEETS.

    An enterprising young merchant of Pharisburg, Union county, Ohio,
    is Wayne Teets, whose whole life has been spent within this county. After
    graduating from the local school he started in as a clerk in a store in Pharis-
    burg, and since 1907 has been in the general merchandise business for him-
    self. He is an industrious and energetic business man, and has built up a
    large and lucratie trade throughout this section of the county.

    Wavne Teets, the sun of David and Sarah (Henry) Teets, was born
    in Leesburg township, Union county, Ohio, September 22, 1882. His fa-
    ther was Ijorn in Logan county, and his mother in Champaign county, Ohio,
    their marriage occurring in the latter county. Some years after their mar-
    riage David Teets and wife located in Union county, where he operated a
    cooperage plant in Pharisburg until his death, about 1884. His widow still
    resides in Pharisburg. Eight children were born to David Teets and wife,
    all of whom are still living: Flora, the wife of J. L. Thompson, of Lees-
    burg township; Effie, the wife of G. B. Romine, of Leesburg township;
    Warren, a farmer living in Taylor township; Ordel, of Leesburg township;
    Wilber, a resident of flalion, Ohio; Walter, of Leesburg township; Wayne,
    of Pharisburg, and Estella. the wife of J. C Gaston, of Richwood.

    Wayne Teets received his echication in the schools of Pharishurg', and after attenthng tlie liigh school, clerked in the store of Hutchen Brothers, of Pharisburg, for three years. In 1907 he engaged in business for himself in Pharisburg and now contlucts a general merchandise establishment, with a constantly increasing business. His store is well stocked with such goods as are usually found in general stores in towns of this size, and he is con- stantly adding to his stock of goods in order to meet the demands of his trade. Mr. Teets was married March 24. 1911, to Loverna Hall, a daughter of J. H. and Clara (Maple) Hall. Her parents came from Coshocton, Ohio, to Union county, and a few years later located in Trumbull county, where they are now living. ]Mr. Teets and his wife have one son, Leo Donald, who was born Februarv 24, 1912. Politically. Mr. Teets is a Republican, but has never been active in the councils of his ])arty. His wife is a member of the Methodist Protestant church, of Pharisburg. He holds his membership in the Knights of Pythias at the same place. Mr. l>ets is still a young man and at the threshold of life, and the success which has already attended his ettorts indicates that he has a long and prosperous career before him.
