    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James P. Simon II; and one brother, Charles "Chubb" Simon.

    He is survived by two daughters, Sherry Waybright and husband, Carl, of Buckhannon and Deborah Wilson and husband, Kevin, of West Virginia; four grandsons, Shawn Cutright and wife, Rita, of Buckhannon, Christopher Leary and wife, Tasha, and Nicholas Brady and Ryan Bowers both of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Angela Hinchman and husband, Terry, of Buckhannon; one stepgrandson, Dustin Waybright and wife, Jackie, of Ohio; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Simon and wife, Louise, of Goode, Va.; and one sister, Iris McLain of Hodgesville.

    Mr. Simon was a security officer for Moore Business Forms of Buckhannon. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and high priest at the church, a member of the Buckhannon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3663 and life member and past commander. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy where he spent 10 years in Naval intelligence and the National Security Agency.

    Friends will be received at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Monday, May 4, from noon until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery at Hodgesville. Buckhannon VFW Post 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post 7 American Legion and Disabled American Veterans Chapters 5 and 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside.

    My grandmother was Druzilla Belle Simon. She was first married to Ezra Kittle, second to my grandfather Lee Chenoweth Rowan and third to John Franklin Teets on 29 Dec 1935. I would like to suggest a correction to her burial place. It is a long story as to how she was buried where she is, but I will bypass that. I attended her funeral and burial and have subsequently visited her gravesite several times. She was buried in the Lower Rowan Cemetery near Mabie, Randolph Co, WV. Her gravesite is next to her first husband Ezra Kittle and her headstone reads "Zilla Rowan Teets". Her second husband, grandfather Lee is buried nearby with his first wife next to him. I suspect that John F Teets' first wife is buried next to him in the Mt Hebron Cemetery in Barbour Co.

    Grandma "Zillie" was the informant for John F Teets' death certificate and she apparently gave John's mother as Rachel Stevens. You have correctly listed John F Teets' mother as Catherine F Stevens. My suspicion is that grandma was confused at the time and stated the given name of granddad Lee's mother, her previous mother-in-law, who was Rachel Chenoweth. Just a guess.

It looks as if her name was either Melippa or Melissa. Mary Teets Lantz died October 16, 1874--at approximately 24 years of age. Then, Angeline Teets was married (maybe common law--I could find no record) to Elam (her brother-in-law) and they had at least 3 children together. They were Cora B. Lantz, Charles Morgan Lantz (born August 2, 1877) and Walter Albert Lantz (born June 17, 1879). Elam Lantz died July 1879 of unknown circumstances. Angeline (Teets) Lance then married Irvin Franklin Talbott (March 19, 1881) in Barbour County. He was a widower--his wife, Sabina McGee Talbott died September 27, 1880. Angeline Teets Lantz Talbott had at least 3 children with Irvin Franklin Talbott. Their names are: Lovila E Talbott (Born August 1885), Hartsel Schieler Talbott (born July 3, 1888) and Dessie Bell Talbott (August 8, 1897). When Irvin Franklin Talbott died in the early 1900's, Angeline married Augustus J Coontz. Augustus was also widowed--his first wife's name was Emily C Shomo Coontz. Together Augustus Coontz and his first wife, Emily, had had 11 children. Angeline Teets Coontz died March 27, 1936.
    We have researching my granfather's (Walter Albert Lantz) ancestry for over 30 years and parts of his life are still a bit of a brick wall. But we seem to progress a little now and a little then. You mentioned in one of your other emails that you have 7 children listed for Angeline Teets--what names do you have?
